COUGAR AVID SITE TEAM
The AVID Site Team meets monthly to discuss upcoming AVID-related events, changes to aspects of AVID at Coleman, and methods used to implement AVID strategies schoolwide. They accomplish this by supporting the AVID Elective Teachers, encouraging a college-going culture among students, implementing AVID strategies and philosophies in their departments, and seeking to expand the mission of AVID through every interaction with students, fellow teachers, and parents.

COUGAR AVID TUTORS
Tutors play a vital role in the AVID Elective class. Using their knowledge and experience, AVID-trained tutors are able to conduct collaborative tutorials that lead to increased student participation and success. Tutors are able to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions they might be embarrassed to ask in their content-area classrooms. Tutors are essential to the success of AVID, acting as a resource and role model for AVID students both academically and socially. (Taken from the www.AVID.org and edited)
